Auditions
The Ocala Youth Symphony will hold auditions for the 28th Season. Young musicians from 8 to 18 years are encouraged to try-out. The Symphony is in need of String, Woodwind, Brass, and Percussion players. The OYS plays not only classical music but Contemporary pieces, Big Band, Jazz, Broadway selections and Movie themes. Auditions Will be scheduled now through the end of September. Auditions are held at First Christian Church, 1908 E Ft. King Street, Ocala, FL 34471. Interested musicians please call 352 425 9148 for an audition time. Each musician should prepare a musical selection that shows their level of advancement and bring the music to the audition. In addition, sight-reading and scales will be provided. The first rehearsal date will be announced soon.
